Miyazaki crystal is a high-quality crystal mined in the foothills of the Kumamoto prefecture border, such as Takachiho Town and Itaya, Nishimera Village. Mount Sobo, which is also on the border with Oita prefecture, is also a crystal production area, and Marimo crystals are mined on the Oita side. The reason why famous crystal production areas are scattered all around Miyazaki prefecture is because of its rugged mountainous terrain. メタフィジカルなホワイトクォーツ

ホワイトクォーツが白いのは、氷と同じ原理で、氷も水晶も透明な中に白い部分がありますが、氷（水晶）が出来上がる時の結晶の乱れや微結晶や不純物（ミネラル）の集まりで白くなるのだそうです。
