Established in 2015, the natural stone and mineral shop “Stone Marble” celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025.
That same year, I relocated to a historic area in the Kanto region —the place as known as Japanese geology was born..
In 2026, I begin a new chapter in the mysterious place by opening a crystal-featured shop:
Cathedral Cave.
From fossils and minerals
into the depths of Quartz Crystal.
From the warmth and strength of the earth
into the sea’s living radiance
My handle name is Ciel.
It carries the sound of “Shell,”
and also suggests “to know” and “to awaken” in Japanese.
The logo represents a cave.
It resembles a budding flower, and some may see the quiet silhouette of a woman within it.
The icon is an inverted bivalve shell —
a symbol of the sea, and of light descending from above.
Cathedral Cave
“Cathedral” suggests a sacred space.
“Cave” evokes the hidden interior of the earth.
A sacred cave can be imagined both as a celestial chamber and as a sanctuary within the earth.
In Japanese mythology, there is a story known as the “Opening of the Sacred Rock Cave,” in which the sun goddess Amaterasu emerges from a cave, restoring light to the world.
Since ancient times, caves have symbolized both concealment and revelation —much like the inner formations of crystals themselves.
In February 2026, as Neptune and Saturn move into Aries — a time often associated with new beginnings —
I feel guided to embark on a new voyage.
Myth and Crystal
At first glance, minerals and mythology may seem unrelated.
Yet when we gaze into Quartz Crystal, such as Cathedral Quartz,
something ancient within us begins to stir.
We recognize that we are living myth itself—
its archetypal patterns emerging again and again in our lives.
And we come to see that these patterns are not new—
they are remembered, carried from lives once lived.
Respect yourself,
Ciel
