NOTE

The more I look at it, the more its three-dimensional record keeper patterns remind me of intricate computer code.

They have a solemn presence, like ancient script.
The fine detail and precision give it an almost organic presence.

Not only the main point, but also the smaller crystals emerging from the base and midsection have formed into a beautiful cluster structure.

I selected a type for slightly bluish tone, which is less common among Hedenbergite in quartz.

A Reading and Certificate from David Geiger is attached (please note that the A4 paper has fold lines).

The cushion shown in the image will also be included.
When placed on it, the crystal can be gently moved, you can always view it from an angle where the light falls best.

ABOUT CRYSTAL

Hedenbergite in Quartz

Hedenbergite in Quartz from Inner Mongolia is a distinctive type of quartz in which hedenbergite is intergrown within the crystal, forming points with unique shapes.

Amethyst can be seen within the quartz, while the surface is covered with fine crystalline formations.

Many of these crystals produce a clear tone when touched, as singing crystals.

The surface crystals are thought to be three-dimensional record keeper structures.

Clusters may emerge from the base or midsection, forming a branching growth pattern.

Due to the weight of the crystal and its tendency to grow long and slender, specimens typically consist of only two or three points, and multiple clusters are rare.

The termination often develops into a scepter-like form with a cap.

Its notable healing properties were identified by David Geiger.

The mines listed refer to those producing hedenbergite in quartz.

Hedenbergite within quartz tends to be relatively transparent, while hedenbergite attached to the surface appears darker green and more opaque.

Two color types are observed—green and pink—both associated with the heart chakra and also reminiscent of the color of blood.

Record keeper patterns appear toward the center of the terminal facets, while the edges form band-like boundaries, a feature also seen in trigonic amethyst.

It is often said that the deeper the green coloration of hedenbergite, the stronger its healing properties.

As the green deepens, the crystal begins to resemble a cactus.

The most distinctive quality of hedenbergite in quartz may be its sound.

Specimens with well-developed crystallization, combining precision and transparency, are capable of producing clear and beautiful tones.

At the Huanggang Mine in Inner Mongolia, other quartz crystals of similar form are also found.

The pink variety is known as Mongolian Quartz.

Fluorite in both green and pink hues is also produced from the same locality.

The prismatic faces of hedenbergite in quartz are thought to result from parallel intergrowth of beta quartz.

Substitution between hedenbergite and calcite within quartz has also been noted.

Materials + Care
  • We offer natural, unpolished quartz crystals in our shop.
In rare cases, a polished surface may appear on a terminal or prism face of a crystal. In such cases, this will always be clearly stated in the product description. If no such note is included, the crystal is unpolished.

  • If there is any noticeable damage, it will be shown in the photographs or mentioned in the product description. As these are natural minerals, please enjoy such features as part of the crystal’s unique character.

  • Quartz crystals are sensitive to dryness, so we recommend periodic cleansing with water as part of their care.
