Major Localities of Himalayan Quartz

深緑色で、ガーデンクォーツになることもあり、様々なバリエーションがあります。水晶の中でも癒しの力が特に強く、クローライトが入ることで水晶の響きがまるで深い森のように、清められたエネルギーになります。

Fuchsite - クロム雲母
フックサイトはルビー・イン・フックサイトが有名ですが、アクアマリンと共生しているモスコバイトのような雲母グループの一種で緑色のものを言います。和名で「クロム雲母」と呼ばれるように、クロムを内包した雲母のことです。ちなみにベリルがクロムを内包するとエメラルドになります。

もともと雲母はキラキラとした鱗片状のものを指し、グリーンアベンチュリンのアベンチュリンレッセンスも雲母の結晶によるものです。フックサイトもクローライトと比べると明るいミントグリーンで発色がよかったり、ファントムの粒状が大きいのも、雲母の影響かもしれません。

また、ファントムクォーツになるのが特徴で、明るい緑色の水晶は珍しく、中国での需要が特に高い水晶です。

フックサイトと同じ雲母グループで緑色の鉱物がセラドナイト。フックサイトの発色原因はクロムで、セラドナイトは鉄由来なのですが、よく似ているので専門家でも判別が難しいそうです。主な産地はマダガスカルで、マダガスカル産のグリーンクォーツはフックサイトであることが多いようです。
