Chamerite shivalingam, also known as Kemmererite.

Chamerite in serpentine: purple chamerite embedded in green serpentine.
Serpentine is a type of serpentinite.

Chamerite is said to be a variety of chlorite where chromium has turned purple.
Despite the strong purple color, the overall calming sensation might be due not only to the green of the serpentine but also to the chlorite effect.

While some types have vibrant green, the grayish mint color with marbled violet is very elegant and beautiful, giving a feminine impression.
It possesses great dignity.

Its origin is Odisha, a state on the east coast of India facing the Bay of Bengal.

Chamerite is reportedly famous from Turkey, but Indian chamerite mixed with serpentine is a romantic natural stone that, while retaining its vividness, creates unique marbled patterns.

カメレライト

カメレライトは、1840年に発見された比較的新しい石です。クローライト群に属するクリノクロアの変種で、中間の変種にレピドライトもあるのだとか。カメレライトの名前はロシアの発見者のKammerer氏にちなんでいます。クリノクロアはセラフィナイトとも呼ばれており、レピドライトとの繋がりもあることから、カメレライトは精神性の高い石なのかもしれません。産地は原産地のロシアやインド、トルコやイタリアでも発掘されています。日本各地の蛇紋岩の鉱山でも発見されていますが、蛇紋岩と混じった物は限られているでしょう。

カメレライトは、家族の絆を強くする石と言われています。

カメレライト自体は世界各地で発見され、日本にもあるくらいですが、サーペンティンとの混合物のインド産のカメレライト・イン・サーペンティンには、カメレライトオンリーにはないドラマチックな魅力があります。研磨されると独特のマーブル状の模様が現れるため、神秘的な雰囲気が漂います。
