レーザークォーツといえばブラジルのディアマンティーナ。細く長く先端が尖っている水晶は他の産地にもありますが、ディアマンティーナや南米の細長いポイント水晶が、レーザークォーツの特性を強く持つようです。先端に行く程細くなるのは、テッシンハビット水晶もなので、テッシンハビット水晶のようなフォルムになることもあるようです。

水晶は成長するにつれ、長く太くなって行くので、レーザークォーツのように細いまま長く成長するのは、特殊な環境下であったと言われています。
　

守りの石
Ｊ・ダウ女史によりますと、レーザーククォーツは、外科手術のナイフのようなものだとか。体調が優れなかったり、調子の悪い時に真価を発揮する緊急の外科手術のようなものです。実際にレーザークォーツは急に欲しくなるということが多いようで、普段は見向きもしないのに、突然、しかも10㎝以上の大きくて頼もしいタイプのレーザークォーツの需要があるんだとか。そのため、常時ストックしている石でもあると業者さんにお伺いしました。
