DETAIL
NOTE
This is a very rare variety of chlorite-in-quartz, featuring not only green phantom formations but also spherical, marimo-like inclusions. It is often found in association with brown actinolite, which is also present in this specimen. The shape of this mini point reveals that it is an interference quartz formed through growth interference.
The main point also shows distinct notches, offering further evidence of growth interference. A richly featured Japanese quartz specimen.
It has an atmosphere reminiscent of a forest spirit. A delicate, mist-like veil seems to hover over the chlorite phantom, creating a more mystical impression than typical chlorite-in-quartz.
The pale, fog-like phantom can also resemble inclusions seen in Shaman Dow–type crystals. Despite the presence of growth interference, the crystal has developed beautifully, with well-defined phantom structures.
The marimo formations appear to grow out from the phantom, evoking the presence of kodama (forest spirits).
